Frances R.Becker

Frances R. Becker is a Trust Officer with South Dakota Trust Company, LLC. In addition, Frances is a member of the SDTC's Distribution and Investment Committee.

From 1985-1996, Frances was a member/owner of the law firm of Wilson, Olson, Nash & Becker, PC, and concentrated her law practice in the areas of trusts, estate planning and real estate. In 1996 she accepted an offer to open a trust department for Rushmore Bank & Trust, in Rapid City, South Dakota, with an intended emphasis on national trusts. Under her management, the trust department administered national and local trusts, estates, Florida Intangible Trusts, Self-Directed IRA accounts, and Retirement Plans.

Frances obtained her law degree (JD) from the University of South Dakota School of Law and has a Legal Law Masters in Taxation from the University of Miami School of Law. She is licensed to practice law in the state of South Dakota, and has additional licenses to practice in the Federal District Courts, the United States Tax Courts, and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. She is a member of the South Dakota and Pennington County Bar Associations.

Frances is a current member and past speaker of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys and the West River Estate Planning Council. Frances was a member of South Dakota Governor William Janklow's Trust Task Force and was reappointed by South Dakota Governor Michael Rounds to his Trust Task Force. In addition, Frances was appointed in 2004 to the South Dakota Bar Association Uniform Trust Laws Committee.
